We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and hospitality from our Inn here in the beautiful village of Barrow Haven, North Lincolnshire. We offer a variety of services, from our restaurant, lounge and bar, to afternoon teas, events, celebrations and more. Our wonderful team is always on hand to ensure that your visit is a memorable one. As the proud owners of The Haven since 2017, Lindy and Joe have made lots of improvements to enrich and improve the this charming establishment, with more work being undertaken each year. Our commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of our business. We take great pride in providing a delightful array of home-cooked dishes, complemented by a superb selection of ales and wines.
The Haven Inn dates to 1730. It was originally an old coaching house and farm. History tells us that Henry V111, in the year of 1541 during the reformation, tied his ship alongside the local wharf on his way to Thornton Abbey, whose partial remains are still to be admired today. His footsteps would have taken him immediately past our front door should The Haven have been around at the time. In the mid-seventies, the building was extended at each end, and now this forms the restaurant and function room. A port continues to exist nearby, and the area’s rail access is based at the Barrow Haven railway station, a stop on the Barton line.
Today The Haven Inn embraces a large restaurant, lounge, conservatory, bar, and function room, along with 8 bedrooms.

We have a range of services to make your stay enjoyable and memorable, including a restaurant and lounge serving delicious cuisine, a bar with a variety of drinks and a variety of events for all occasions and seasons. Our team of friendly and experienced staff are dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that your visit is comfortable and enjoyable.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Barrow Haven, our location is just a mile away from Barrow Upon Humber and three miles from Barton Upon Humber, meaning we are ideally placed to explore the countryside, or visit the local attractions in Hull & Cleethorpes. With comfortable, homely accommodation, we prioritize our customers and strive to make each visit or stay a memorable one. Going the extra mile is our standard practice.
We are so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful Lincolnshire countryside, with views of the magnificent Humber Bridge. An early morning stroll is one of our absolute favourite things to do and we feel so blessed to be in such a beautiful setting – we’ll never take it for granted.
Our restaurant boasts a bright, spacious and cosy atmosphere, while our bar combines the comforts of a countryside inn with a premium selection of real ales, lagers, and ciders. The Haven Sunday carvery has become the stuff of legend, attracting customers from near and far who seek to indulge in its home cooked offerings. On an average Sunday, we often serve 150-200 covers, a testament to our popularity.

We have 8 bedrooms available for overnight stays with 3 of these being pet friendly. We also have a function room, restaurant, lounge and bars. As well as our lunchtime & evening meals, we also offer weekly Chef specials, afternoon teas, live music events and seasonal celebrations.
Our restaurant and bar are the perfect places to enjoy delicious food and drinks while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Our function room is available for rent for private events or functions, and is the perfect place to host any special occasion. With parking spaces onsite, The Haven Inn is the perfect place to stay and enjoy the best of what Barrow Haven and North Lincolnshire has to offer.
